Orthodoxies
We believe that the Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God, useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, training, and a whole host of other things. It is also the supreme and final authority in doctrine and practice and the most interesting and beautiful story ever written.
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ was divine, born miracuously of a virgin, lived a sinless life, showed us his nature in His miracles and teachings, died a horrible undeserved death, that we are atoned through His shed blood, was resurrected in bodily form, and He will one day return in power and glory and wonder.
We believe that the only hope of salvation is in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, who enables us to live to the fullest.
We believe that the bible is meant to be interpreted through the gospels, the old testiment refers to the comming of the messiah and the epistles concern themselves with applying the Christ-metric in a world where jewish and roman ideals and cultural practices were often at odds. Each must be interpreted through the sermons, teachings, and actions of Christ.
